My paramotor thread

Post by Merlin »

I want to do this stuff so bad you have no idea that just to put more pressure on myself, I decided to do this paramotor thread where I will discuss it all with you.

If everything goes to plan, I should be getting lessons this winter in California and then I'm up for world travel baby.

For those who don't what what a paramotor is, don't worry, I will have many videos for you starting by the unboxing of one...

How about 10 to unbox you personal aircraft.

Ok now that you have the Flat Top Paramotor, how about something to put it in to carry it with you.

Here, you have 2 options...

1- Get a truck like he did here...

2- Buy a little trailer to put it in and attach it to your sports car (my choice ;) ).

After that it's up to you as to where you want to fly that baby. Of course you have coast lines with some friends.

Then you can do some "Fly Camping" on a Bahamas deserted island with you girlfriend.

One of the place I want to go is Monument valley and land this baby on top of a big rock like he did.

You can always take it to Europe and fly above the Pisa tower like this guy did. That was the 1st video I saw of a paramotor and it was love at first sight.

Not really. $8K for the paramotor and $3K for the glider. Add another $3K for the training and you have your personal plane for under $15K.

Im surprised to hear it is less expensive than a jetpack, considering unlike the jetpack is an actual flying machine and not a thing that can at most fly for 30 seconds.

I wouldn't fly with a jetpack even if you would give me $5 million. You can't control this shit. A paramotor on the other hand is just like falling down with a parachute but because of the propeller, you don't fall straight down, you can start from the ground and fly up and if the engine stops, you just fall down with a parachute on your back. Much more safer.

Which is why considering how expensive a jetpack is I expected it to be way more expensive than a jetpack in turn, glad to see this is not the case.
